    What are the benefits of the F.O.S. masks?

    The new F.O.S. masks are manufactured with a 2-ply high quality material. They have a water repellent treatment on the outside.

    Are the masks washable and reusable?

    Yes, the masks are reusable. They are easy to clean and can be washed at 60°C (washing mashine). The masks dry quickly and fit perfectly to your face.

    Oven disinfection: 30 min at 70 °C (Caution: Do not microwave!)

    Can the mask be worn all day?

    As breathing resistance is given, we would recommend to take off the mask in a suitable environment at regular intervals.

    Coronavirus: Why protective masks are so important

    The most common transmission route of the Coronavirus is the drop infection. Tiny secretions (droplets) containing the virus are released when sneezing, coughing or speaking, which then reach the mucous membranes of other people. Depending on the size and quantity of the droplets, they can be deposited on objects and surfaces or even float in the air and spread over long distances. That is why health experts recommend keeping a distance of at least 1.5 metres to your fellow human beings.

    Considering the danger of the droplet contamination, the protection of the own mucous membranes is extremely important. This applies in particular to the mouth and nose, through which floating droplets containing the virus can be inhaled without being noticed. At the same time, it is an effective protection for everyone around you, as your own droplets cannot escape into the air. For this reason wearing masks is a good way of minimising the risk of infection.

    Many medical institutes recommend wearing a mask. Experts confirm the positive aspects and their secondary effects:


    Masks can reduce the rate of droplet ejection and provide awareness of the “social distancing” and a careful approach in public.

    What protection do F.O.S. masks provide?
